As a third-year Computer Engineering major at UNAM, I lead the software development for our VEX U team with a focus on machine learning integration and advanced autonomous systems. My undergraduate research involves applying computer vision algorithms to improve object detection and tracking during competitions. I have completed internships at two robotics startups in Mexico City, where I developed embedded systems for industrial automation. My passion lies in bridging the gap between theoretical computer science and practical robotics applications. Our team’s autonomous routines have consistently ranked in the top tier at international competitions, and I’m currently developing a neural network-based approach to dynamic path planning. Beyond robotics, I contribute to open-source projects focused on robotics middleware and mentor high school VEX teams in my community. My goal is to pursue graduate studies in robotics and eventually establish a research lab focused on collaborative robotics in Latin America. #
