PART 2: THE STORY

Downey lit up with competitive energy as 28 high school teams gathered at Mary R. Stauffer Middle School for the Stauffer Challenge Tournament: October HS Only. The gym buzzed with the sound of motors, cheers, and last-minute adjustments as teams fine-tuned their robots for the Push Back challenge.

Throughout the day, alliances adapted quickly to shifting strategies and intense matchups. The standout collaboration between 11211X – Titan Robotics and 334W – Supernova W demonstrated precision and trust, culminating in a powerful championship run that had the crowd on its feet. Meanwhile, 393E – RoboLancers balanced dominance on the field with technical mastery off it, sweeping both the Design and Skills titles with remarkable composure.

Each award told a story of dedication: 2541B – RoboDons showed what it means to lead with integrity and enthusiasm, earning them well-deserved recognition from the judges. By the end of the day, every team had pushed themselves to new limits, embodying the core of robotics competition: creativity, resilience, and teamwork.
